How is a GPA Calculated?

GPA - Grade Point Average

A GPA is calculated through a few simple steps.

1) Assign a number of points that a grade is worth. For example, you can say a 93-97 is worth 4 points.

2) Convert your class grades into these points.

3) Add all of these points together.

4) Divide the total by the number of classes.

This number is your grade point average (GPA)!

You also have to remember that if your class is Honors or AP, the points each grade is worth may be different.
